FAQ: How does your nursery cater for children with food allergies?
As part of your registration, you will be asked to confirm if your child has any dietary requirements, including allergies and preferences. If your child has an allergy, we will complete a care plan and risk assessment to ensure their safety.
We operate a traffic light catering system: children with allergies receive meals on a red plate, those with dietary preferences (such as vegetarian) are served on a yellow plate, and children without restrictions receive meals on a green plate.
A list of all children’s dietary requirements is kept in both the kitchen and all playrooms to ensure staff are fully informed.
